【摘要】:Thisguidelinecoversthefollowingareasforreportingfrictionandweartestresultsofmanufacturedcarbonandgraphitebearingandsealmaterials:Descriptionoftestdeviceandtechniques(Table1).Descriptionofcarbonandgraphitematerialtestspecimen(Table2).Descriptionofmatingmembertestspecimen(Table3).Reportoffrictionandweartestresults(Table4).Manytypesofequipmentandtechniqueswillyieldconsistentdatacharacterizingthefrictionandwearofcarbonandgraphitematerials.However,therankingofthematerialsbythevarioustestmethodsusedisnotnecessarilythesame.Thisguidelineisaninitialefforttopromotemorecompletedescriptionofthetestmethods,whatevertheymaybe.Itistheeventualintenttoidentifyoneormorespecificstandardtestmethodswhensufficientinformationbecomesavailable.
