【摘要】:ThispartofBS7967givesguidanceontheuseofanelectronicportablecombustiongasanalyserasadiagnosticinstrumenttoassistagasoperative:a)indeterminingthelevelofservicingrequiredforagas-firedappliance;b)inconfirmingsatisfactorycombustionfollowingservicinginaccordancewithmanufacturer’sinstructions;c)inconfirmingsatisfactorycombustionfollowingmaintenance.Thisstandardisintendedtoensurethesafeandefficientoperation,indwellings,of:1)fluelessgas-firedappliances(typeAgas-firedappliances),e.g.cookingappliances,spaceheaters.2)openfluedappliances(typeBgas-firedappliances).3)roomsealedappliances(typeCgas-firedappliances).NOTE1TypesA,BandCclassificationsofgas-firedappliancesaredescribedinPDCEN/TR1749.Thisstandardisforusewithappliancesusing1st,2ndor3rdfamilygases.Thisstandarddealswiththemeasurementofcarbonmonoxide(CO),thedeterminationofcarbondioxide(CO2)andtheirratioincombustionproductsfromgas-firedappliances.NOTE2Thisstandarddoesnotcovertheuseofananalyserduringcommissioning.However,anappliancemanufacturermayspecifytheneedforacombustiontestduringcommissioning.Ifthisiscalledfor,andifeitherduetotheabsenceofthenecessaryequipmentorthroughlackofexpertise,themanufacturer’smethodsandfigurescannotbeapplied,theapplianceneedstobeturnedoff,disconnectedandlabelledasanuncommissionedapplianceuntilsuchtimeaseitherthenecessaryequipmentand/orexpertiseisavailable.NOTE3Followingalandlord’sgassafetycheckinaccordancewithregulation36(3)ofTheGasSafety(InstallationandUse)Regulations1998[1],anelectronicportablecombustiongasanalysercanalsobeusedinaccordancewiththisstandardasadiagnosticinstrumenttodeterminetheneedforfurtherwork.NOTE4Combustionproductsfromgasapplianceswillcontainnitrogenoxides(NOx),predominantlynitrogenmonoxide(nitricoxide,NO)andnitrogendioxide(NO2).Thisstandarddoesnotdealwiththemeasurementofcombustionproductssuchasnitrogenoxidesandaldehydes.Suchproductscouldbepresentintheairinsufficientquantitiestoproveanirritantandcouldbeharmful.Forguidanceontheoccupationalhealthconsiderationsassociatedwiththesecombustionproducts,referencecanbemadetothefollowingdocuments.a)TheInstituteforEnvironmentandHealth’sIEHassessmentonindoorairqualityinthehome:Nitrogendioxide,formaldehyde,volatileorganiccompounds,housedustmites,fungiandbacteria[7].b)TheHealthandSafetyExecutive’s(HSE’s)ChemicalHazardAlertNotices,CHAN28onnitrogenmonoxide[8]andCHAN29onnitrogendioxide[9].PleasenotethattheseCHANsrefertooccupationallevelsspecificallyrelatedtotheworkplacesituation.ForfurtherguidancerefertotheHSE1).
