【摘要】:Thisspecificationcoversacrosslinkedpolyethyleneinsulationforelectricalwiresandcablesinconductorsizes14AWG[2.08mm]andlarger.Thebasepolymerofthisinsulationconsistssubstantiallyofpolyethyleneorapolyethylenecopolymer.Thistypeofinsulationissuitableforcontinuoususeonpowercablesinwetanddrylocations,forvoltageratingsnotexceeding2000Vandatconductortemperaturesnotexceeding90Cfornormaloperation.Forcopperconductors,theinsulationmaybeappliedovertheuncoatedmetal.Materialscoveredbythisspecificationarenotsunlightandweatherresistantunlesstheyarecarbonblackpigmentedorcontainanadditivesystemdesignedforthisprotection.Inmanyinstancestheinsulationcannotbetestedunlessithasbeenformedaroundaconductor.Therefore,testsaredoneoninsulatedwireinthisstandardsolelytodeterminetherelevantpropertyoftheinsulationandnottotesttheconductororcompletedcable.Whenevertwosetsofvaluesarepresented,indifferentunits,thevaluesinthefirstsetarethestandard,whilethoseinparenthesesareforinformationonly.

【摘要】:Thispracticehasbeenwidelyusedtoobtainmassbalancedataforprocessscrubbers,todeterminetheefficiencyofVOCemissioncontrolequipment,andtoobtaindatatosupportairpermitapplications.ThispracticewillhaveapplicationstotheMACTRuleandmayhaveapplicationstoComplianceAssuranceMonitoringverificationrequiredbythe1990CleanAirActTitleIIIAmendments.Thispractice,whenusedwithTestMethodsD3464orD3154oron-lineprocessflowmeterdata,canbeusedtocalculatedetailedemissionrateprofilesforVOCsfromprocessvents.Thispracticeprovidesnearlyrealtimeresultsthatcandetectprocesschangesorupsetsthatmaybemissedusingconventionalsorbenttubeorintegratedgassamplingbagsampling.1.1Thispracticedescribesamethodfordirectsamplingandanalysisofprocessventsforvolatileorganiccompound(VOC)vaporsandpermanentgasesusingaportablegaschromatograph(GC).1.2Thispracticeisapplicabletoanalysisofpermanentgasessuchasoxygen(O2),carbondioxide(CO2)andnitrogen(N2),aswellasvaporsfromorganiccompoundswithboilingpointsupto125176C.1.3Thedetectionlimitsobtainedwilldependontheportablegaschromatographanddetectorused.Detectorsavailableincludethermalconductivity,photoionization,argonionization,andelectroncapture.Forinstrumentsequippedwiththermalconductivitydetectors,typicaldetectionlimitsareonetotwopartspermillionbyvolume(ppm(v))withanapplicableconcentrationrangetohighpercentbyvolumelevels.Forinstrumentswithphotoionizationdetectorsdetectionlimitofonetotenpartsperbillionbyvolume(ppb(v))areobtainablewithaconcentrationrangefrom1000to2000ppm(v).Theargonionizationdetectorhasanachievabledetectionlimitofone(ppb(v)),whiletheelectroncapturedetectorhasanachievabledetectionlimitofonepartpertrillionbyvolume(ppt(v))forchlorinatedcompounds.1.4TheapplicabilityofthispracticeshouldbeevaluatedforeachVOCbydeterminingstability,reproducibility,andlinearity.1.5TheappropriateconcentrationrangemustalsobedeterminedforeachVOC,astherangewilldependonthevaporpressureoftheparticularVOC.1.6Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.RefertoSection8onHazardsforadditionalsafetyprecautions.
